Aspitech is an Adelaide based electronic waste collection service with a difference, which we like to call e-waste management. Our trained staff will collect all of your electronic waste (decommissioning equipment if required to guarantee data security) and ensure hazardous toxic materials are streamed for the best environmental outcome.

So what is e-waste management?
We accept all e-waste and make it easy
Preventing computers and other electronics going into landfill or simply chipped
On-site collection service for business & organisations
Ensuring the confidentiality of all stored data
Cost effective commission based asset sales (If its still valuable we'll sell it for you)
Socially responsible reuse of viable technology
Easy 30 day account facility (for approved businesses & organisations)

Our staff will come on-site and not only remove all e-waste, but will also ensure any device capable of storing data is tagged, quarantined and processed to ensure data confidentiality.
IT assets commonly hold large volumes of confidential data even if they are deleted or re-formatted. User details, software keys, credit card numbers, bank details, medical history and other classified data is often stored on computer systems inadvertently or intentionally. These can also make their way onto other media such as printers, copiers, flash memory and other media. This requires either mechanical destruction or specialised applications that write patterns of random meaningless data onto all of a hard drive's sectors multiple times.

Aspitech does not recycle or reprocess hazardous materials on-site all e-waste collected is first taken to a sorting area where it is assessed for the best management process where it is either dismantled or refurbished.
Dismantled parts, metal, CRTs, PCBs and plastic are sorted into different waste streams to be sent for safe re-processing with an environmentally responsible waste company who we have assessed to provide the best environmental outcome for our customers.

Aspitech is a participant in the Microsoft Refurbisher program. meaning that we not only offer quality low-cost computers but also supply them with the genuine Microsoft operating system installed. The primary goal of the Community Microsoft Refurbisher Program is twofold:
One: Increase the number of low-cost computers available in the community for students and those on low-incomes.
Two: To save a precious resource: the environment. The US EPA has estimated that reusing five desktop computers has the same environmental impact as taking one car off the road for a year. (Techsoup International)
