The primary goal of the Community Microsoft Refurbisher Program is twofold:
One: Increase the number of low-cost computers available in the community for students and those on low-incomes.
*Seniors, people receiving a pension, non-profit community groups and other community users, including all full-time school students, Australian Apprentices, anyone receiving Austudy or a Youth Allowance are eligible.
Two: To save a precious resource: the environment. The US EPA recently estimated that reusing five desktop computers has the same environmental impact as taking one car off the road for a year. (Techsoup International)

Aspitech is a participant in the Community Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher Program (Community MAR) meaning that we can not only offer a quality low-cost computer for as little as $180 but also supply it installed with the genuine Microsoft software ready to go...
Using genuine Windows operating systems is as important for refurbished PCs as it is for new PCs. Only genuineWindows operating systems offer end users the quality they expect and additional benefits such as full access to downloads, updates, and enhanced features.
The primary goal of the Community MAR program is to increase the number of low-cost computers available to seniors, people with a disability, eligible charitable organisations, eligible academic users, and other community users.
(This includes all students or Australian apprentices receiving ABSTUDY, Austudy or the Youth Allowance)
In addition to the Community MAR program you'll not only be saving money buying a refurbished computer or printer, you'll also save another precious resource: the environment. In the US the EPA has recently estimated that reusing five desktop computers has the same environmental impact as taking one car off the road for a year.

Aspitech assesses all computers that come through our e-Waste Management Service to determine if they are suitable for refurbishment. So only computers with a high standard of performance and reliability are selected for refurbishment.
Refurbishment includes all data being securely destroyed, then tested, cleaned and in some cases upgraded, to ensure excellent reliability and then they are installed using genuine Microsoft Operating System.
Each computer is cleaned, tested, virus tested and installed with a genuine Microsoft XP Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office 2003.

Why so cheap? The hard disks of these computers where imaged with a previous version of Office 2003, before the current Microsoft licences came out, so rather putting additional time into re-imaging these machines we thought we would offer them for a reduced cost as Office 2003 is still a great office package.
