Microsoft Refurbisher Program
Aspitech is a participant in the Microsoft Refurbisher program meaning that we not only offer quality low-cost computers but also supply them with the genuine Microsoft operating system installed.
Using genuine Windows operating systems is as important for refurbished PCs as it is for new PCs. Only genuine Windows operating systems offer end users the quality they expect and additional benefits such as full access to downloads, updates, and enhanced features.

The primary goal of the Community Microsoft Refurbisher Program is twofold:
One: Increase the number of low-cost computers available in the community for students and those on low-incomes (conditions apply**).
Two: To save a precious resource: the environment. The US EPA recently estimated that reusing five desktop computers has the same environmental impact as taking one car off the road for a year. (Techsoup International)
**Seniors, people receiving a pension, non-profit community groups and other community users, including all school students, Australian Apprentices, Austudy or Youth Allowance are eligible if unsure if you qualify please call.
Beware of unauthorised referbishers
Only Microsoft Registured or Authorised Refurbishers have access to specially priced Microsoft software for refurbished PCs.
Points to remember:
- It is a refurbisher’s responsibility to ensure a PC is properly refurbished and licensed with genuine software before it is sold to a new customer.
- Selling a PC with an unlicensed copy of Windows can subject the refurbisher and retailer to liability for copyright infringement.
- The original Microsoft (COA) attached to the PC does not allow you to reload Microsoft Windows software when no original recovery media is present.

It is also the responsibility of the retailer also to ensure that it does not sell refurbished PCs that may infringe on Microsoft’s copyrights.
